1. Acceptance of terms

By messaging Joles on WhatsApp and replying AGREE to our consent gate, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Joles is

Joles is a WhatsApp-based assistant that helps you manage a family calendar: adding, editing, and tracking events and tasks by text, voice note, or photo/document, and sending digests and reminders to your household.

Joles uses AI to interpret your messages. Like any AI system, it can occasionally misread, mis-transcribe, or misinterpret what you send — for example, extracting the wrong date from a photo, or mishearing a voice note. Please always confirm important events (appointments, deadlines, school events) by checking your calendar directly, especially for anything time-sensitive. We are not liable for missed appointments or events resulting from AI misinterpretation; you remain responsible for verifying critical scheduling information.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these terms to create a Joles household. If you add information about children, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Plans, trial, and billing

• Joles is a paid service with no permanent free tier.
• New households receive a 14-day free trial of Family Max, with no payment required to start the trial.
• Family Standard is limited to 4 family members; Family Max has no member limit.
• Before your trial ends, you'll be prompted to choose a plan (Family Standard or Family Max) and provide payment details via Stripe, our payment processor. A valid credit or debit card is required to continue using Joles after your trial.
• If you do not select a plan before your trial ends, your access to Joles will be paused until you do.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• We do not currently offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Joles for any unlawful purpose
• Send excessive or automated/spam messages to the service (fair-use message limits may apply, particularly during the trial period)
• Attempt to access another household's data
• Use Joles to store or transmit content you don't have the right to share

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the schedule content, photos, and messages you send us. By using Joles, you grant us the right to process that content solely to provide the service to you.

7. Service availability

Joles is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses arising from downtime, delayed messages, or third-party platform issues (e.g. WhatsApp/Meta outages).

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teldly Labs' total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Joles is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed appointments, scheduling conflicts, or losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content (see Section 2).

9. Termination

You may stop using Joles at any time by cancelling your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or misuse of the service. Upon termination, your data is retained and then deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy (30 days post-closure).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via WhatsApp before they take effect where reasonably practicable. Continued use of Joles after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
